Presso is an Atlanta based startup revolutionizing the dry-cleaning industry. Dry cleaning traditionally uses chemicals that are solvent based like perchloroethylene or tetrachloroethylene (think train derailment in East Palestine). All together these chemicals can come into contact with the person wearing the clothes. Some individuals with sensitive skin can have adverse reactions, but more importantly the long-term impacts can impact your health. These chemicals have been shown to be carcinogenic in higher concentrations. As a rule of thumb, it is usually a good idea to not saturate your life in solvent-based cleaners. We are putting entirely too many chemicals in our life anyway.
Westside wants to avoid traditional dry-cleaning processes all together and provide an alternative. Presso does that in a user-friendly package.
